Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge

Our Sydney Scrapbook

Our time in Sydney was short but sweet. We have always wanted to travel to Australia – even more so with Hayley’s sister now permanently living there – but money was our biggest barrier. With a few freelance jobs on the go, our ability to be mega stingy and some careful planning, we were able to book a return flight to Australia from Bali.

Sadly, due to a limited budget, our 12 days spent in Aus were limited to Sydney.

The aim in Sydney was to see as much as we could in what little time we had. Staying only a 10 minute walk away from the Sydney Opera house, we had a pretty good base.

From there, we travelled out visiting Featherdale Wildlife park to see koalas & kangaroos for the first time. We explored the natural coastal beauty between Coogee to Bondi Beach – with a mandatory fish & chips break, spent a day in Manly and visitied the seaside town, Watsons Bay.
